Goniatites are a very powerful earth healing fossil. Its spiral shape symbolizes continual change and evolution. Goniatites have absorbed cosmic energy over eons of time and help to stimulate the life force (Chi) within. Goniatites are often used for activating Kundalini and life path energies.

Goniatites draw off all negative energies. Think of the Goniatites spirals as a filter, drawing in these dense energies which are no longer needed, moving them through the spirals and releasing them as fresh, positive, loving life force energies.

Goniatites are associated with the Root Chakra are encourage ones survival instincts and is grounding.

Goniatids, informally Goniatites, are ammonoid cephalopods that form the Order Goniatiida, derived from the more primitive Anarcestida during the Middle Devonian some 390 million years ago. Goniatites (goniatitida) survived the Late Devonian extinction to flourish during the Carboniferous and Permian only to become extinct at the end of the Permian some 139 million years later.

Goniatites are found in North America, Europe, North Africa and Australasia where they are used as index fossils in age determination and stratigraphic correlation. Almost any fossil-bearing limestone or shale from inland seas of the late Paleozoic tropics or subtropics is likely to yield some goniatites. In the USA, such rocks are found from Maine, New York, and Virginia and in every state west to Nebraska and south to Texas and Alabama; as well as in parts of almost every western state. Large numbers of goniatites also occur in rocks from the Devonian period of Morocco.
