Mineral Description
Brucite is the mineral form of magnesium hydroxide, with the chemical formula Mg(OH)2 whose color can range from white, grey, green, blue, yellow to brownish red depending on any impurities present.

The highest quality is the vibrant lemon yellow botryoidal variety found in Killa Saifullah District, Balochistan Province, Pakistan. which is quite rare.

Brucite was first described in 1824 and named for the discoverer, American mineralogist, Archibald Bruce (1777ƒ??1818).
